I strive to be a human therapist. I use my experience with you to guide the therapy and build a relationship of trust and healing. Together, we use what is happening in the therapy to explore and better understand the experience of authentically encountering another. Fostering connection, curiosity and acceptance is my task as a therapist. We work towards a consciousness of yourself, your relationships and your existence, that breaks through the binding of the past and frees you to live fully in the present.
Working with couples in my practice is a privilege and great joy. I have significant experience shepherding families and couples through addiction and recovery. I am also impassioned by my work with those facing mental health issues, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues and questions of identity and existence.
I utilize interpersonal, attachment-centered, psychodynamic, experiential, cognitive behavioral, and existential approaches. The EFT model strongly guides my work with couples and families. With my training as a yoga teacher and Certified Lucid Body Teacher, I have the opportunity to integrate a holistic approach involving the wisdom of the physical body, when it serves the therapy.
